MAKE GROCERY SHOPPING EASY! MAKE LABEL READING A BREEZE!
When I was first diagnosed with celiacs, grocery shopping took forever…trying to read product labels to see if it is gluten free and to look out for hidden gluten ingredients. You just can’t remember everything.
To help make gluten free grocery shopping easier I bought the “Is that Gluten Free?” iPhone app made by Midlife Crisis Apps.
My biggest struggle are the grocery items that are not labeld “gluten free” or a product whose manufacturer isn’t known to be gluten free friendly. These products are tricky because they have alot of ingredients listed that are not readily decipherable. In general, I steer away from these products but sometimes I wish I had a tool to help.
Is that gluten free? app has a tab for just those ingredients. Things like ammonium hydroxide and monopotassium phosphate (like I could remember that?!?).
Other tabs on this app to search by are categories (ie:baby food, salad dressing), brands (ie: Ball Park Franks, V8) and an overall search button.
The app costs $7.99 and is well worth it! It’s a great time saver.
