I captured these photos on a recent quick trip to Washington, DC.

There is so much to see and do in our nation’s capital that we sometimes forget to see the grandeur of the buildings that house some of our most famous monuments, memorials and museums.  The columns and ceilings in these buildings are “architectural art”.

The photo above is from the National Gallery of Art located on the mall as part of the Smithsonian Institute.  As you may know, all the museums of the Smithsonian Institute are free to the public making a trip to DC worthwhile.

The photos below come from the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Arlington National Cemetery,  the Jefferson Memorial, and the Lincoln Memorial.
