Sketching at the beach is my go to place for inspiration!

I live in the Great Lakes and going to the water is a constant in my life.  This day I was at the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore on Lake Michigan.

I take minimal supplies: my sketch book, watercolors, wage brush and micron lenin my backpack.  I like to use lake water in my water brush…somehow using it makes a connection to the lake and my sketches.

I also have been using shipping tags as a canvas and use them for gifts, unique cards or in my art journal once I’m done.

Here’s some other outdoor sketching posts here and here and here.
